Summary

Dr. Anayansi Lombardero is an assistant professor at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Montana-Missoula. Dr. Lombardero completed a fellowship in Clinical Health Psychology at the New Mexico VA Health Care System, where she specialized in integrated care and health promotion and disease prevention. Dr. Lombardero served as core faculty in the Ph.D. Program in Clinical and Community Psychology at the University of Alaska Anchorage prior to moving to Nevada. Her research interests include increasing access to mental health care and managing and preventing chronic diseases. Clinically, Dr. Lombardero has expertise in evidence-based treatments for depression, anxiety, insomnia, and PTSD. These treatments include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Depression, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure. She is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
