Behavioral Health Patient Care Center

The University Health Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic provides comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health care across all age groups. Our providers are university-based professionals with access to the latest research, technology, and resources. Our Clinic focuses on providing top-notch evidence-based care while integrating biological and psychosocial treatment options into your individualized treatment plan. By establishing care at our Clinic, you will have access to a wide range of psychiatric and psychological treatment options.

Specialties

Psychiatry

Our Adult Psychiatry Clinic evaluates and treats patients 18 years old and up and is primarily led by Psychiatry Residents completing their training under the direct supervision of fully licensed, board certified psychiatrists. Our Psychiatry Residents rotate through our Clinic for one year of their post-graduate training, from July 1 to June 30. Your care will be transferred to a new resident on July 1 of each year, and your new psychiatrist will provide you with the same level of quality care you have grown to expect from University Health.

Our Psychiatry services include evaluation and treatment of, but not limited to, the following:

  • Anxiety
  • Mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder
  • Psychotic disorders
  • Anger management
  • Obsessive compulsive disorders
  • Eating disorders 

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Our Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic evaluates and treats children, adolescents, and young adults. Care is led by Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellows who are directly supervised by fully licensed, board certified child and adolescent psychiatrists. Our Child and Adolescent Fellows rotate through our Clinic for two years and transfer of care will occur at the end of your psychiatrist's training.

Our Child and Adolescent Psychiatry services include evaluation and treatment of, but not limited to, the following:

  • Neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and Autism
  • Anxiety
  • Mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder
  • Psychotic disorders
  • Anger management
  • Obsessive compulsive disorders
  • Eating disorders

Therapy Services

In addition to our Resident and Fellow Psychiatrists, our Clinic proudly offers therapy services provided by our Licensed Clinical Psychologists and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs). Our Therapists treat patients across all age groups, including children and adolescents.

Our Therapists offer a variety of treatment modalities, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
  • Prolonged Exposure (PE) Therapy
  • Imagery Rehearsal Therapy (IRT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Play Therapy
