| Special Instructions |
- Sample may be stored up to 6 days at 2-8 ° C.
- Centrifuge and remove serum from clot as soon as possible and before storing. Transfer separated serum/plasma into labeled plastic transport tube.
- If need to store longer than 6 days, serum may be frozen at -20° C or colder.
- Specimens with precipitate should be clarified by centrifugation.
- Do not use heat-inactivated specimens.
- Notify Laboratory if cadaver specimen is collected.
- Notify Laboratory if specimen contains sodium azide.
