UNR Med Anatomy Lab

In your first year as a UNR Med student

In their first year, UNR Med students gain essential anatomical knowledge of the entire body through hands-on dissection and prosection experiences in the lab. These experiences are aligned with the curriculum’s block rotations, integrating basic science with clinical application to enhance student understanding of human structure and function. Learning in the lab extends beyond the first year with electives. Selected Topics in Anatomy is a two-week elective available to fourth-year medical students. Each accepted student is provided with dissection instruments, a shared cadaver, and access to the lab. This course is designed to give students the opportunity to perform a dissection in preparation for their chosen residency program.
