As UNR Med has a small class size, and we are localized proximally to several medical centers with many engaged clinical faculty, medical students have a significant amount of one-on-one instruction with physicians and other providers. I’ve had the opportunity to assist in surgeries, work with patients independently before presenting my findings to an attending and get direct feedback on my skills without ever having to worry that these opportunities would be limited.
