Nevada Center for Patient Safety and Simulation
Who We Are
The Nevada Center for Patient Safety and Simulation (NCPSS) is a statewide initiative dedicated to advancing healthcare quality and safety through simulation-based education and collaborative innovation.
Our mission is to create a culture of safety that empowers healthcare professionals to deliver the highest standard of care.
Our Vision
To be Nevada’s leading resource for patient safety, fostering partnerships across hospitals, universities, and community organizations to reduce medical errors and improve outcomes.
Our Goals
- Patient Safety Leadership: Establish Nevada’s first Patient Safety Organization (PSO), to provide a protected environment for reporting and learning from safety events.
- Collaboration: Connecting healthcare providers, educators, and policymakers to share best practices and drive systemic improvements.
- Innovation: Leveraging simulation technology to prepare for real-world challenges and enhance clinical decision-making in rural communities.
Why It Matters
Healthcare safety is a shared responsibility. By uniting stakeholders and promoting evidence-based strategies, NCPSS will help reduce harm, improve patient trust, and strengthen Nevada’s healthcare system.
