First Responders Managing Individuals in Crisis

Cohort Series | Offered Annually | 6-sessions

This brand new ECHO program aims to support first responders and law enforcement professionals with needs related to individuals in active crisis, including mental health or substance use, with a focus on de-escalation tactics and preservation of life. We will build upon existing CIT training modules, focusing specifically on self-harm/suicide, co-occurring mental health disorders within families, differentiation of mental health behavior and disability, and special populations (i.e., Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, psychosis, etc.).

Continuing Medical Education (CME) Accreditation

The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
