
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at the University of Nevada, Reno is a membership-based program designed for adults aged 50 and older who are eager to continue learning, stay socially connected and engage with their community in meaningful ways.
Offering a welcoming, intellectually stimulating environment—free from tests or grades—where members can explore a broad range of topics through educational lectures, discussion groups, outdoor activities, tours and social events. Whether you’re passionate about history, wellness, literature, science, the arts or simply enjoy meaningful conversations and time spent outdoors, OLLI offers something for everyone.

Part of the OLLI family
The Bernard Osher Foundation, founded in 1977 and headquartered in San Francisco, is a philanthropic organization dedicated to advancing integrative health care and higher education. The Foundation supports these goals by providing scholarships and endowments to lifelong learning institutes at colleges and universities nationwide, including funding for integrative medicine centers at esteemed institutions such as Harvard University, UCSF, and the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. The Foundation also supports the arts, offering grants to organizations like the San Francisco Opera and others in Maine to foster a new generation of classical music and performing arts enthusiasts.
OLLI at University of Nevada, Reno is proud to be part of the distinguished network of 125 OLLIs established across all 50 states and the District of Columbia since 2001. Our institute was founded in 2007, originally known as Elder College under UNR’s Extended Studies program. Today, we operate under the Sanford Center for Aging at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.
