IDeA Research Administration

IDeA grants are unique program grants with the intent of increasing biomedical research infrastructure and NIH funding in states that are historically underfunded by NIH.

What we do

The Office of IDeA Research Administration was created in January 2019 to leverage IDeA research administration expertise and provide unique support to Institutional Development Awards (IDeA) at UNR Med. These awards operate a little differently than a typical NIH grant, and the Office of IDeA Research Administration staff are knowledgeable and poised to provide the unique support and administration required by these funding mechanisms.

The Office of IDeA Research Administration provides support for:

  • Fiscal Administration
  • Travel
  • Purchasing
  • Tracking and Evaluation
  • NIH Policies and Regulations
  • Budget Development
  • Annual NIH Reporting
  • Issuance of ERA Commons ID’s
  • Webpage maintenance

Although our primary mission is to provide our IDeA grants with support, we are also a resource for anyone seeking or holding NIH funding.
