Nevada Clinical Simulation Center

Through realistic clinical scenarios and innovative tools, the center helps future healthcare professionals build skills, confidence, and readiness for real-world care.

Advancing medical education through cutting-edge simulation technology

The Nevada Clinical Simulation Center is a state-of-the-art training facility featuring innovative medical simulations. Our goal is to improve patient safety and health outcomes by offering students, physicians and other health care professionals with access to real-world settings.

Programs at the Simulation Center

Standardized patient education

The Standardized Patient Education Program gives students the opportunity to train with actual patients in a simulated setting. Through real-world scenarios, medical students practice their patient care and communication skills by taking medical histories, giving physical exams and more.

Simulation lab

The Simulation Lab is a cutting-edge medical training facility featuring five types of simulation as well as a variety of task trainers. Each simulation is designed to offer a realistic representation of clinical environments to improve patient outcomes and safety.

Simulation Consortium of Northern Nevada (SimCoNN)

SimCoNN is a collaboration between the University of Nevada Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) Simulation Center, the Orvis School of Nursing Simulation Lab and the Renown Health Simulation Lab. Together, we aim to foster excellence in health care simulation by offering high-level training in a supportive and controlled environment.
