Renown Institute for Health Innovation Genetics in Health Care Series 2024

Overview

Data suggests that many medical professionals have not been formally trained to discuss genetics and genetic screening/testing with their patients and may not be aware of the value of screening for CDC Tier 1 conditions. This series will allow providers to familiarize themselves with language and knowledge of screening recommendations, and clinical indications for genetic counseling, testing, and resources. Providers will engage in discussions on how to incorporate genomic medicine into daily practice and develop personalized care plans.

Who Should Attend

Northern and Southern Nevada primary care physicians, nurses, advanced practice practitioners (including PAs and APRNs), and Pharmacists.
