The healthcare community in Reno and Northern Nevada plays a vital role in shaping the education of our learners at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med). Along with the hundreds of community physicians and hospitals, learners spend considerable time at our two primary teaching hospital affiliates: Renown Health and the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System.
Renown Health, UNR Med’s primary teaching affiliate, offers a robust learning environment for many of our health professions students. Together, Renown and UNR Med bring innovative treatments and clinical research to patients throughout Northern Nevada.
The VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System serves as a major affiliated site for providing teaching experiences to our learners to support the care of our veterans across the region.
