Renown Sports Medicine Conference

Overview

Join us at the Renown Sports Medicine Conference on Saturday, April 13th in South Reno. This one-day CME conference will focus on musculoskeletal medicine, updates on concussion management, and specific medical challenges in pediatric and adult athletic patients including: foot and ankle rehabilitation and updates, lower extremity injury risks, ACL updates, Knee injury and lumbar pain in young athletes, rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, elbow injuries, rehabilitation for female athletes, and concussion updates and testing.

Multiple learning modalities will be incorporated into the course to engage the learner and help to develop new strategies to apply in their own practice setting.

Learning Objectives

Following the completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Apply knowledge to improve treatment out-comes for non-surgical management of injuries, acute and overuse injuries of the spine, knee, foot and ankle.
  • Manage unique medical issues of the upper extremities including conditions of the shoulder, closed head injury, and elbow.
  • Determine current patient management for rehabilitation and strategies for return to play.
  • Develop skills to aid in management decisions for surgical consultation and prioritize injury prevention techniques when appropriate.

Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians Assistants, Physical Therapists, Nurses, Residents, and Medical Students in the fields of Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation Orthopedics, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine are invited to attend.

This is an in-person CME event

The UNR CME office in partnership with Renown will be collecting all the registration fees. The per participant registration fee is:
