These enduring materials address the national youth mental health crisis by emphasizing a comprehensive, cross-system approach to suicide prevention. Clinicians will explore the critical role of primary care in screening, brief assessment, safety planning, and referral of suicidal youth, with practical tools for implementing office-based protocols. The presentation also highlights school-based supports and interventions across a multi-tiered system of care, emphasizing staff roles, evidence-based practices, and the importance of strengthening student protective factors.

Youth Suicide Prevention: A Clinician and School-Based Approach
Presentation will orient providers to school-based supports and interventions for preventing suicide. Will cover a continuum of resources, supports, and evidence based practices across the multi-tiered system in schools, highlighting staff roles and student protective factors.
