Specimen Identification	Label tube with patient's first and last name, DOB and date/time of collection.
Special Instructions	Sample may be stored up to 6 days at 2-8 ° C. Centrifuge and remove serum from clot as soon as possible and before storing. Transfer separated serum/plasma into labeled plastic transport tube. If need to store longer than 6 days, serum may be frozen at -20° C or colder. Specimens with precipitate should be clarified by centrifugation. Do not use heat-inactivated specimens. Notify Laboratory if cadaver specimen is collected. Notify Laboratory if specimen contains sodium azide.
