Special Instructions |
- Sample may be stored refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 7 days.
- Centrifuge and remove serum from clot as soon as possible and before storing. Transfer separated serum or plasma into labeled plastic transport tube.
- If need to store longer than 7 days, serum may be frozen at –20°C or colder.
- Do not use heat-inactivated serum.
- Identify specimen as acute or convalescent.
- Specimens with precipitate should be clarified by centrifugation
