| Special Instructions |
- Sample must arrive at NSHL within 16 hours of collection if not incubated and within 3 days if incubated at client site.
- Shake tubes well (foaming) and incubate tubes at 37o C for 16-24 hours. Incubated tubes are stable for up to 3 days at room temperature.

| Sample Rejection Criteria |
- Mislabeled/Unlabeled specimen
- Transport delay of greater than 12 hours
- Tubes not filled correctly
- Refrigerated/Frozen samples
- All 3 tubes not received
- Tubes containing less than 1 mL whole blood
- Samples received after 16 hours (unincubated)
- Samples received after 3 days (incubated)
