Through membership in the UNR Med Alumni Chapter, medical alumni from Nevada and across the nation have reconnected with the school, its faculty, and current students. Membership provides a variety of opportunities for alumni to reconnect, network and give back to the School of Medicine.

Scholarship Support

By supporting our medical students through the UNR Med Alumni Chapter Scholarship Fund and our sponsorship of the White Coat Ceremony, we positively impact the lives of current medical students.

White Coat Ceremony

Each year, approximately 70 outstanding scholars have the honor of joining the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine when they are formally welcomed as the newest class of medical students at the annual White Coat Ceremony.

The Arnold P. Gold Foundation White Coat Ceremony welcomes entering medical students. Students are welcomed by the Vice President of Health Sciences and Dean of the School of Medicine, the University of Nevada, Reno President and respected leaders who represent the value system of the school. Students receive and are cloaked in their first white coats by the Dean and the Associate Dean for Admissions and Student Affairs.

The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine Alumni Chapter proudly supports this milestone event by providing the coats and patches for each new student.
