Overview
This course focuses on the vital role of wellness programs in supporting rural healthcare providers and enhancing care in Nevada's rural communities. Dr. Lauren Schwarz will share proven strategies for establishing effective wellness initiatives in rural practices, providing tools to promote clinician wellbeing, address moral injury, and create supportive environments.
Through this training, participants will explore best practices for developing wellness programs, crafting strategic plans to promote clinical wellness, and fostering healthier workplaces. These efforts not only strengthen care for rural medical professionals but also enhance the experience of UNR Med students, inspiring them to pursue careers in rural medicine with confidence in available support systems.
