Ethics and the APA
Overview
The purpose of this activity is to improve the clinicians' ability to identify the myriad ways in which psychiatrists can educate their medical colleagues about burnout, mood disorders, PTSD, and substance use disorders.
Learning Objectives
Following participation in this course, participants should be able to:
- Distinguish how the APA Leadership must consider what is ethical for a broad collection of psychiatrists
- Explain why taking a stand on policy is important, even when doing so may not be popular
- Describe how your personal views interact with the association's ethics principles
