We succeed with trust and respect

Inclusive excellence guides our work, fostering a culture of trust, respect and collaboration where faculty can thrive.

The faculty at UNR Med have been fantastic at helping to take the time to teach and to advise. Professors who I saw on a regular basis, like our anatomy professors, always would be teaching with the best interests of the students in mind. In our clinical rotations, our clerkship directors and coordinators were the best examples of teachers and mentors who would take the time to help us, whether we wanted to work with a specific community physician or if we needed accommodations for any personal issues.

I’ve been fortunate to receive wonderful mentorship and support from UNR Med faculty. I’ve chosen to pursue dermatology, and along the way, I have discovered a passion for research. My goal is to secure a residency at an academic institution where I can continue to explore both areas. The guidance I’ve received from a local dermatologist and researcher has been pivotal in shaping my career path. They piqued my interest in these topics and showed me the kind of physician and researcher I want to be in the future.
