Special Instructions Potential CaliciNet specimens require GI/GII subtyping via Real-time RT-PCR. At least two Norovirus-positive specimens are required for genotyping. Accompany samples with Gastroenteritis Outbreak Information Summary Form. Please see Acute Viral Gastroenteritis Laboratory Testing Guidance for more information.
Shipping Requirements Specimen should be kept at 4°C (refrigerated) and transported to the laboratory within 24 hours of collection. Ship with cold-pack.
