Shipping Requirements |
Specimen should be kept refrigerated at 4°C and shipped cold on gel ice-packs. Frozen specimens (less than or equal to -20⁰C) should be shipped on dry ice. |
Sample Rejection Criteria |
- Swabs with calcium alginate, cotton tips or wooden shafts.
- Swab not in viral transport media.
- Specimen quantity not sufficient (QNS)
- Specimen not refrigerated
- Mislabeled/Unlabeled specimen
