Overview

Guided Oral Hygiene, Assisted Oral Hygiene and Documentation is a course that looks around how we can motivate and improve home care.

This is a four-part series, to increase awareness of caring for Nevadans with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD). To view all session topics in this series visit Every Smile Matters Nevada Series.

The Nevada Division of Health Care Finance and Policy with support from the American Rescue Plan Act has provided the funding for this project.

Objectives

Following participation in this course, participants should be able to:

  • Define guided oral hygiene and assisted oral hygiene
  • Describe what is needed to start your own programs in guided oral hygiene and assisted oral hygiene
  • Review documentation systems you can use to help motivate, educate and improve home care oral hygiene
