Overview

Presentation will orient providers to school-based supports and interventions for preventing suicide. Will cover a continuum of resources, supports, and evidence based practices across the multi-tiered system in schools, highlighting staff roles and student protective factors.

Objectives

Following participation in this course, participants should be able to:

  • Share current Nevada student population data around suicide
  • Identify risk and protective factors for students and families

  • Provide local, regional and national resources for school-based providers to prevent suicide
