Geriatric Specialty Care
As part of the joint affiliation between the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine and Renown Health, the Sanford Center for Aging provides comprehensive geriatric assessments for patients in Nevada.
Older adults who are interested may be referred by their medical provider or they may refer themselves. As part of the assessment, there will be a panel of experts including a nurse practitioner, pharmacist and social worker. Typically, these visits last two hours during which the team learns about you and your health needs. You will leave with a list of recommendations for you and your medical provider.
