Claude I. Howard Speech Pathology and Audiology Clinic
The Claude I. Howard Speech and Hearing Clinic is located in the Nell J. Redfield building on the upper portion of the UNR campus. It is housed on the same floor with the speech-language pathology and audiology academic facilities. We are proud to offer the following services:
Speech (Articulation), Language, Fluency, Voice, and Swallowing Services
Our clinic provides assessment and therapy for children and adults who may have difficulty communicating, producing sounds, academic achievement, swallowing, and voice. There are six diagnostic rooms that are fully equipped for all types of speech, voice and language evaluation and nineteen therapy rooms. All speech pathology rooms have observation capabilities
Hearing and Balance Services
Our clinic offers assessment of hearing and balance disorders for patients from birth to 100+ years old. Our newly remodeled audiology testing facility features state of the art equipment and offers the following services: hearing evaluations, balance evaluations, auditory processing disorder evaluations (APD), cochlear implant candidate evaluations, cochlear implant mapping services, OSHA hearing screenings and custom hearing protection. We also host cochlear implant support groups as well as community aural rehabilitation classes.
If you or someone you know could benefit from a hearing, speech or language evaluation please call to make an appointment. This is a fee for service clinic. As a courtesy to clients, insurance benefits will be verified by the billing department. If possible, have insurance information ready when you call to schedule an appointment.
