Instructions to Claim Credit

Registration Instructions

1. Click the Registration button at the top of the page.
2. Select ‘Sign In’ to Register and log in with your information. If you’re already logged in, just click Register.
3. Complete the registration form and payment details, then click Submit.
4. You’ll be redirected to the Registration Confirmation page — click Begin Module.
5. Select your registered topic, then use the arrows to expand the modules.
6. Click ‘Launch Content’ to start the video. Complete each module fully before proceeding to the next.
7. After the final module, click Evaluation.
8. Complete and submit the evaluation.
9. Click ‘Claim Credit’ to print or save your certificate.

On-Demand Instructions

1. Once you start your session, use the arrows to expand the modules. Click ‘Launch Content’ to start the video. Complete each module fully before proceeding to the next.
2. Watch the video. Fast forwarding has been disabled. Do not click out of the window. Doing so will stop the video.
3. After the final module, click ‘Evaluation’. Complete and submit the evaluation. Click ‘Claim Credit’ to print or save your certificate.
4. Should you need to restart the process, or download a copy of a certificate at a later time, please see the instructions for accessing the online portal here: Evaluation and Claim Credit

Pause & Return

CME Tracker allows you to pause and return at any time without losing progress. Please see below for instructions:

1. If you need to pause your session for a few minutes, click in the video window to pause then click again when you are ready to continue the session.
2. If you need to pause your session and return at another time, click 'Close' in the top right corner. CME Tracker will automatically save your progress and allow you to resume from the same point when you return.
3. To return to your session. Log in to CME Tracker then go to ‘My Portal’ and click ‘On-Demand Courses’. Select your registered topic, then use the arrows to expand the modules.
4. Completed modules will be marked with a green checkmark. Continue to the next incomplete module. Expand module and click ‘Launch Content’ to continue your session.

Chief William Scott is the Chief of Investigations with the Nevada Office of the Attorney General. Chief Scott retired from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in December 2019 after 29 years of dedicated and distinguished service. Chief Scott received an Associates of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice, from the College of Southern Nevada, his Bachelor of Art degree in Organizational Leadership from Oklahoma University and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy Session 264. Throughout his career with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Chief Scott worked in numerous positions, overseeing the Investigative Services Division, Homicide, Robbery, Gang Crimes Units, Organized Crime Bureau Criminal Intelligence Section, Bike Patrol, Problem Solving Unit, Support and Emergency Operation Bureaus, Major Violators and Narcotics, the Office of Community Engagement, Air Support, K9, Search and Rescue, Armor and Bolden Area Command. Chief Scott was a Board Member, former Vice-President, and President of the Nevada Chapter of the National Black Police Association. Chief Scott is an active part of his community and takes part in several organizations aimed at providing youth with positive choices. These mentoring programs include PAYBAC, Choices, Brother to Brother and Sister to Sister and the Power of One Juvenile Rehabilitation Program. Chief Scott served on the Police Athletic League (PAL) Executive Board from 2021-2023. In August of 2020 Chief Scott was selected by Attorney General Aaron Ford as the Chief of Investigations for the Nevada Attorney General’s Office. 

Shaun Bowen is a Deputy Chief Investigator for the State of Nevada, Office of the Attorney General.  For the past 9 years, Shaun has been assigned responsibility over Cyber Crimes, Public Integrity, Human Trafficking, Missing Children, Consumer Crimes, and various types of fraud.  Prior to his current assignment, Shaun spent nearly 15 years in the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of the Attorney General’s Office combatting provider fraud and abuse/neglect of the elderly.  Shaun has conducted and supervised hundreds of complex investigations, as well as the related search, arrest, and child recovery operations.  Shaun attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and obtained degrees in accounting and criminal justice.  Shaun is a Certified Public Accountant and has instructed classes at many of the Nevada POST academies, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and for numerous public schools and community groups.  Shaun also served for seven years as an instructor for the National Association of Medicaid Fraud Control Units and developed coursework used to train investigators, prosecutors, and analysts across the county.
