The Department of Pediatrics requires applications to be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS). Documents submitted separately by mail, email or fax will not be considered as part of an applicant's file. All our residency positions are filled using the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) in March.
Applications are accepted and reviewed from September through January. It is strongly recommended to have your application in as early as possible via ERAS to guarantee adequate time for our review panel.
Our interview season begins in November and continues through January.
Candidates that have been selected to interview will be notified and scheduled through ERAS.
Application Information
A complete ERAS application for our department consists of:
Personal Statement
Curriculum Vitae (up to date)
3 Letters of Recommendation
MSPE (Dean's Letter) or equivalent
Medical School Transcript
USMLE or COMPLEX scores
Passport-Sized Photo
Our program does not have a set USMLE or COMPLEX cut-off score, however we advise scores should be at least 200 or greater 200 on USMLE Step I and Step II to be competitive (or COMLEX score equivalent).
Applicants should have a pass on USMLE Step II-CK, when the exam is offered by the NBME.
Applicants should have taken both USMLE Step II-CS and USMLE Step II-CK (when offered) by the time the rank order lists are due.
We recommend medical school graduation within the last 5 years. If it has been more than 5 years since graduation we review those applications case by case.
Program Director's Letter is required for all applicants with previous residency training in the U.S.A.
ECFMG Certificate (Required by the start of residency)
Program Director's Letter is required for all applicants with previous residency training in the U.S.A.
***Due to the high volume of applicants our program receives, we cannot answer all emails or phone call inquiries regarding your application. All interview scheduling and contacting will be done though ERAS***
Please note that we regrettably are unable to offer credit for previously-completed training.
