Visiting Residents Policy

  1. Purpose:
    To outline the requirements that must be met in order for the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine to accept visiting residents from other training institutions.
  2. Policy:
    Acceptance of visiting residents is optional and no training program is required to
    accept visiting residents. The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine will not provide salary support or liability insurance to visiting residents.
    • Resident salary is provided by the visiting resident's home institution.
    • Liability insurance for visiting residents will also be provided by the visiting resident's home institution.
