Summary

Dr. Elieth Martinez is board-certified in Internal Medicine. She joined UNR as an assistant professor in 2021.  

In addition to working directly with internal medicine residents, she is also involved at the medical school level. She is a member of the UNR admissions committee and the advisor to the UNR Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA). Her clinical care has been recognized by the graduating medical school class.  She is recipient of The Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award, presented by The Arnold P. Gold Foundation which recognizes faculty members who are exemplars of humanism in the care of patients.

Her academic interests include procedure training, medical simulation, and clinical reasoning.  

Dr. Martinez has also been a televised guest on local Spanish media stations including NoticieroMovil, Univision and Telemundo where she has discussed health-related topics. 

Dr. Martinez graduated from UCSF School of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Duke University Hospital.
