This monthly drop-in program aims to support healthcare providers and staff with their patient care needs related to rheumatology. Sessions will include a subject matter expert from the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine who will be able to consult on challenging patient cases regarding musculoskeletal diseases and rheumatic diseases. Each session will also include a didactic presentation that will spotlight case recommendations and drive home the learning points from the discussion.

Our Team

  • Walter Winn Chatham, MD. Dr. Winn Chatham obtained his MD from Vanderbilt and completed IM residency training at NC Memorial Hospital at UNC-Chapel Hill. After serving as a primary care internist for three years in the National Health Service Corp he completed training in clinical immunology and rheumatology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, subsequently joining the faculty there in 1989. While practicing at UAB he served as the rheumatology training program director, clinical services director, and directed the UAB Lupus Clinic and Lupus clinical trials program. He was recipient of the American College of Rheumatology Clinician Scholar Award, Clinician Scholar-Educator Award, and Master in Rheumatology designation before retiring from his position at UAB in May of 2023. He then relocated to Las Vegas to re-establish the clinical rheumatology program at UNLV and to direct initiation of the first rheumatology training program in Nevada, which received ACGME approval to commence in July 2024.
