School Based Programs
Project ECHO Nevada offers multiple programs for school based professionals across the state. We value our school based healthcare and educational professionals and are dedicated to supporting them with sharing knowledge and skills around caring for their students. As of 2024, these programs include School Based Mental Health and Special Education & Assistive Technology with future programs coming soon. Each of these programs includes case-based learning with subject matter experts and flash talks to support continuing education that is vital to keeping up with best practices.
School Based Mental Health
Our aim is to create a school based mental health ECHO aimed at improving our audiences’ understanding of and enthusiasm for providing, communicating, and delivering school based mental health. This series will assist school based professionals in Nevada with school based health needs of students, including mental health. The planned curriculum will include an overview of mental health care devliery models, screening procedures, consent, and team formation/data sharing. We will be using case-based learning as the main part of this ECHO program and invite participants with an opportunity to discuss strategies and tools to support students' health.

This 6-session series will support special educators, AT personnel, and district administrators with special education and assistive technology needs. This program will foster statewide collaboration amongst colleagues and provide oppurtunity for consultation with an interdisciplinary team of subject matter experts, including speech pathology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, teacher, and assistive technology specialist.
