Scholarly Concentration in Interprofessional Education (SCIPE)

The Scholarly Concentration in Interprofessional Education (IPE) certifies that the recipient has completed at least 320 hours of study (self-directed, didactic, practical/hands on) and has demonstrated competencies and leadership in Interprofessional Education (IPE). This course of study provides students an experience beyond the scope of their conventional curriculum and translates personal interests and activities into scholarship. Interprofessional Education encompasses the tenants of patient centered care, leadership, and communication by focusing on IPEC’s four domains of values and ethics, team roles and responsibilities, working on teams and teamwork, and interprofessional communication.
