Nutrition Therapy
College students may face more challenges than ever to eat in a balanced, cost-effective, and satisfying way. The goal of the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) is to help you navigate nutrition messages to support overall wellness by working together to identify areas of concern, create behavior change goals, and monitor your progress.
The Dietitian can help with concerns including, but not limited to:
- Poor appetite
- Low energy
- Anemia
- Digestive problems
- Diabetes
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol
- Sports nutrition
- Food allergies
- Food cravings
- Emotional eating
- Overeating
- Negative body image
- Disordered eating
- Eating disorders.
We work closely with Counseling Services as part of the UNR Eating Disorders Multidisciplinary Treatment Team. Students with chronic or severe eating disorders may be referred to community outpatient or inpatient services.
