Referrals

In some circumstances, a UNR Student Health Center Provider may wish to refer you to an off-campus specialist or an outside facility for additional testing.  Our Patient Care Coordinator is here to assist you with these referrals and scheduling external appointments.

The Student Health Center can refer patients that have a PPO insurance plan or are self-pay.  HMO insurance plans do require a referral be processed through a Primary Care Provider. 

Patients are advised to contact their insurance company for specific billing questions prior to any scheduled visits.
