Loan Repayment Programs
The following resources are available to medical students and health professionals with student load debt. Please review the eligibility requirements for loan repayment assistance programs.
- National Health Services Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program: Open to licensed primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers who are employed or seeking employment at approved sites.
- Students to Service Loan Repayment Program: Provides loan repayment assistance to medical students (MD and DO) in their last year of school, in return for a commitment to provide primary health care services in eligible Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) of greatest need.
- State Loan Repayment Program - A federally-funded grant program to States and Territories that provides cost-sharing grants to assist them in operating their own state educational loan repayment programs for primary care providers working in Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) within their state.
