Summary

Ms. Bain is a faculty member in the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. She received her Bachelorsof Science at University of Nevada, Reno, in nutrition and completed her internship at Oregon Health & Science University/Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC). She has a certificate in Health & Wellness Coaching from Wellcoaches® School of Coaching, a nationally recognized program endorsed by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). She also earned the Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) credential, now known as CDCES. Ms. Bain works as a nutrition coach and practices as a clinical dietitian with an emphasis on translating the science of nutrition into lifestyle practices for weight loss, diabetes management, and chronic disease. Ms. Bain is the Co-Director of the Culinary Medicine program at UNR School of Medicine incorporating the practiceof nutrition into the medical curriculum. She has extensive experience in diabetes telemedicine and program development for wellness. Ms. Bain enjoys the art of cooking, skiing, hiking, travelling, being outdoors and finding joy in daily living!
