Sports Medicine Fellowship

Why UNR Med?

Fellows will gain expertise through collaboration with the University of Nevada, Reno Athletic Program and Nevada Physical Therapy. During this program, you will master your knowledge in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions and injuries specific to athletes and exercising individuals. Additionally, fellows will partner with the faculty for a one-on-one musculoskeletal and ultrasound clinical experience.

We also offer a Wilderness and Sports Medicine Fellowship combination. In this program, you will have a built-in wilderness medicine rotation and the opportunity to obtain your PADI (Dive) certification as part of the training. This is in addition to six weeks of ski clinic experience.

Thanks to our proximity to the high desert and High Sierra, we are confident that our curriculum provides one of the best and most unique opportunities in sports medicine fellowship education. Completing the program will qualify you to apply for a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in sports medicine, equipping you with specialized skills for a successful career.
