Residents train across diverse clinical settings and care for individuals and families across the lifespan, gaining experience with the biological, psychological and social dimensions of psychiatric care. Opportunities in urban, suburban and rural communities expose residents to a wide range of patient needs and systems of care while emphasizing prevention, early intervention, community-based practice and comprehensive psychiatric care.
