Arden D. Dingle, M.D.

Dr. Dingle is the Program Director of the Psychiatry Residency. As a child and adolescent psychiatrist, she brings a lifespan and holistic approach to psychiatric training. Dr. Dingle completed a pediatrics, psychiatry and child/adolescent psychiatry residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital.

Her career has focused on medical education, running two prior training programs and being an editor for the Psychiatry Resident In Training Examinations (PRITE). Her clinical interests include community-based care and psychotherapy.

Joshua Fitzgerald, M.D.

Dr. Fitzgerald serves as the Program Director for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship, and Division Chief of Behavioral Health at Renown Health. A graduate of UNR Med's medical school, psychiatry residency, and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship, Dr. Fitzgerald joined the faculty after completing his training.

His clinical interests include early psychosis, child and adolescent consultation-liaison psychiatry, and academic psychiatry. He serves as Medical Director of the SOAR Early Psychosis Clinic at Renown Health and is actively involved in national scholarship and consultation through Project ECHO Nevada and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) Early Psychosis Workgroup.

Nicole Smith, M.D., MBA

Dr. Smith is a psychiatrist and medical educator at Renown as the Associate Program Director. Before medicine, Dr. Smith spent nearly a decade in Human Resources and organizational training and development, with roles at Waldorf Astoria, Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, and Emergenetics Canada.

That background, paired with her MBA, informs her approach to curriculum design, mentorship, and program development. A native Nevadan, she is committed to strengthening psychiatric training in the state and mentoring residents as they transition into independent practice..

Steven Zuchowski, M.D.

Dr. Zuchowski has over 25 years of experience in psychiatry and forensic psychiatry, serving in various clinical roles, including inpatient, outpatient, and consults. He received his general psychiatry training at Wake Forest University in North Carolina and then completed a forensic psychiatry fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. He has been on the UNR faculty since 2004.  

His clinical interests include forensic psychiatry, competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility (not guilty by reason of insanity), psychiatric malpractice consultation, and civil and criminal forensic evaluations.

Emily Mainwaring, C-TAGME

Emily is the Residency Program Administrator for the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine Psychiatry Residency and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship. She has extensive experience in Graduate Medical Education, with expertise in ACGME accreditation, residency operations, recruitment, program development, and regulatory compliance.

Her professional interests include advancing physician education and expanding training opportunities that improve care for rural and underserved communities locally and nationally.

Nancy Colson

Nancy is a Program Coordinator in the Graduate Medical Education office at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. She provides administrative support for the Psychiatry Residency and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship programs, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, communications, and program operations. Nancy is dedicated to supporting trainees, faculty, and staff while helping ensure a positive and organized educational environment.
