Summary

I grew up in Eugene, OR and moved to Reno at the age of 16. After high school, I moved to Seattle and graduated from University of Washington with a BS in Cell, Molecular and Developmental Biology, then moved back to Reno for med school and residency at UNR. I graduated from medical school with a dual MD-MPH degree with a focus in behavioral health and program planning. After residency, I practiced for 3 years in Tucson, AZ at a Community Health Center while my husband completed his residency in Emergency Medicine. Together with my family (including 2 sons), I moved back to Reno in the summer of 2018 to join on with the faculty at UNR Family Medicine and couldn't be happier to be back!

Passions: hiking, soccer, reading, travel, quality time with family/friends, holidays, potlucks, and of course family medicine.

Why University of Nevada Reno? Great people to work with, growing and diverse community to live in, incredible backyard to play in (Tahoe, Sierras, etc.), and it's lovely to live near my family.

Favorite book: Ishmael by Daniel Quinn and most books by Ken Follett

Hometown: grew up in Eugene, Oregon but Reno is home to me now.
