Scott Barnett, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor, Research

Summary

12 years of research experience in Molecular Pharmacology, during which time I have investigated the pathophysiology of preterm labor and renal disease, including the identification of novel smooth muscle targets for the prevention of preterm labor (provisional patent), and the exploration of dualligand compounds for the treatment of chronic kidney disease and preterm labor. I have extensive wetlab experience, a history of first-author publications, teaching, team leadership (Officer - U.S. Marine Corps), entrepreneurship (CSO ExCyte Therapeutics), and science outreach (www.thepoisoncast.org).
