Summary
Susan Poore is the Assistant General Counsel for the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine as of March, 2020. She is responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating contractual agreements involving the School of Medicine and its associated clinical practice University Health. In addition, she provides assistance to the Senior Associate Dean for Legal Affairs with regard to other legal matters. Susan held the position of Senior Grants and Contracts Officer within Sponsored Projects prior to her move to the School of Medicine. Before joining the University, Susan was in private practice for 25 years specializing in business and commercial litigation in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. In addition to her trial experience, she has argued cases before various Texas courts of appeal, the Texas Supreme Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Susan holds a Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas. She graduated from the University of Kentucky P Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with distinction.
