Wellbeing in Higher Education Network at UNR

What We Do

WHEN at UNR brings together faculty and staff from across the University who share an interest in advancing wellbeing throughout our campus community.

Our work includes:

  • Identifying and strengthening existing campus wellbeing resources
  • Developing opportunities and activities that support individual and collective wellbeing
  • Creating connections and collaboration across departments, programs, and initiatives
  • Providing consultation and sharing practices that support wellbeing across the University
  • Exploring how institutional culture, systems, and environments can create conditions in which people and communities can thrive

Opportunities to Participate

WHEN at UNR offers opportunities for members of the University community to pause, connect, and support their wellbeing.

Tune In Tuesday: Guided Mindfulness Break

Join us for a relaxing and restorative 15-minute guided mindfulness session designed to help you pause, recharge, and reconnect during your day.

  • Duration: 15 minutes
  • Location:
        Zoom
  • Who Can Attend: All University of Nevada, Reno faculty, staff, and students

Whether you're new to mindfulness or have an established practice, these brief guided sessions offer a welcoming opportunity to reduce stress, improve focus, and support your overall well-being.

Men's Peer Support Group

A space to talk. A place to connect. UNR faculty and staff who identify as men are invited to join a peer-led space for open conversation, connection, and support around mental health, everyday challenges, work, relationships, or whatever is on your mind. Share as much or as little as you’d like—you don’t need to be struggling to attend.
