Summary
My current research projects focus on the enteric nervous system in health and disease states, including Rett syndrome and laminin-α2-related muscular dystrophy. In the laboratories of Drs. Thomas Gould and Dean Burkin, we use a combination of in vivo and ex vivo colonic transit assays together with calcium imaging, immunohistochemistry and transcriptomics to identify specific enteric cell types and their roles in gastrointestinal motility.
