Summary
Mrs. Walden has been a speech-language pathologist since 2001. She spent eleven years working as a full-time SLP for a lifespan private practice. She also worked in acute medical and early intervention settings during that time. In 2012, she began working at the University of Nevada as a clinical educator and instructor. In 2013, Mrs. Walden was named the Clinical Director and has held that position since. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses focused on clinical skills development.
Mrs. Walden’s clinical interests include developmental speech and language disorders; stuttering; acquired speech, language, and cognitive disorders; and gender-affirming communication.
Mrs. Walden is the proud parent of two sons, Jack and Sam, and wife to David. She is a dog mom, an avid hiker, aerial yoga lover, and skier, who loves living in the high desert. Mrs. Walden’s sister is also a local speech-language pathologist in the Washoe County School District.
