Summary
My lab focuses on understanding how capillary microcirculation senses and responds to tissue demands and environmental changes, as well as the mechanisms regulating this vital process in both health and disease. Specifically, we study the regulation of cerebral blood flow and its dysfunction in Alzheimer's disease, as well as the intrinsic light sensitivity of choroid vasculature in relation to macular degeneration. These efforts highlight a commitment to advancing scientific knowledge, mentoring future researchers, and building a leading research program in microvascular physiology.
