Resident Forum

1. Purpose

   The Sponsoring Institution with more than one program must ensure availability of an organization, council, town hall, or other platform that allows all residents/fellows from within and across the Sponsoring Institution’s ACGME-accredited programs to communicate and exchange information with other residents/fellows relevant to their ACGME-accredited programs and their learning and working environment.

2. Policy

   1. UNR Med supports a resident leadership council.
   2. Members of the resident leadership council are peer selected and represent the individual residency and fellowship programs at UNR Med.
   3. Residents are encouraged to utilize the Forum for expressing general concerns about residency education or any other matters they choose. Any resident/fellow from UNR MEd programs have the opportunity to directly raise concerns to the forum. Residents/fellow have the option to conduct their forum without the DIO, faculty members, or other administrators present. Residents/fellows have the option to present concerns that arise from discussions at the forum to the DIO and GMEC.
