Pediatrics

About us

The Department of Pediatrics focuses on developing new care strategies to improve the health of children in Northern Nevada. The pediatrics leadership team educates compassionate, highly skilled physician leaders through undergraduate and graduate medical education programs. Faculty across disciplines partner with health care providers to conduct research that translates into new products, programs and treatments that improve children’s health and pediatric care. The research mission of the department is to conduct high-quality research to discover causes and treatments for conditions that impact the lives of children.

It's just been an amazing year seeing this program develop, seeing all the new residents go through, and just hearing how happy they have been. It’s been very rewarding.
